The integrated approach to Sports Mindset Coaching looks further than game day. We know the human mind is incredibly powerful, yet complex. An athlete's mindset and ability to reach and maintain a peak state can be their greatest asset, or downfall. Many games and events are won by the athlete who may not always be the most physically gifted but were mentally stronger on the day. This is why training your mind is just as important as training your body.

At IH&P, we look at multiple mindset, mental and emotional factors that can affect performance, for example:

  • Limiting beliefs
  • Fear
  • Enhancing current supportive and winning mind states
  • Effects of previous experiences
  • How stress can affect the body and mental processing
  • Goal specific visualisation techniques
  • Emotional regulation pre, during and post event
  • Developing and maintaining a more optimal competitive state.

We also use tools such as ESI Mind Mapping to identify different parts of you that may support or inhibit your efforts, allowing for positive change to occur and help you get closer to your competitive goals, no matter what level you're playing at.
